German shipowner Peter Kramer died unexpectedly yesterday at the age of 66.
Born in December 1950, Kramer took over responsibility of shipping companies Marine Service and Chemikalien Seetransport in 1982.
His father Dr Karl-Heinz Kramer founded the two Hamburg-headquartered firms in 1958.
In an e-mailed statement provided to TradeWinds, the Kramer group of companies said: “With the death of Peter Kramer, Hamburg loses an extraordinary shipping personality and his group of companies a courageous, highly-valued and honoured person.”
