Finance ministers from the G7 group of nations will discuss US plans for a price cap on Russian oil exports on Friday in the latest effort to limit funding for Moscow’s war in Ukraine.
US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has repeatedly called for a cap that officials want to introduce to coincide with Europe’s full embargo on Russian oil imports, which starts in December.
