Frontline chief executive Lars Barstad is unlikely to be signing up tankers as a new very long-term charter market emerges.
The Norwegian executive told an earnings call that big players are pushing for term deals for up to seven years, particularly for newbuildings.
“So this is the big boys entering the market, oil majors, national oil companies and so forth,” Barstad said.
