Frontline has purchased a VLCC resale under construction at Hyundai Samho Heavy for $92.5m, the company has confirmed.
The John Fredriksen-backed tanker giant said it has also ordered two LR2 newbuildings from China’s Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for $46.7m each.
The scrubber-fitted VLCC is due to be delivered in May 2020, while the pair of LR2s are due to be handed over in January 2021 and March 2021.
