Frontline fails to derail deal between DHT and BW

A last-ditch bid from Frontline to torpedo a $538m VLCC fleet deal between DHT Holdings and BW Group has failed.

As TradeWinds was first to report yesterday, John Frediksen’s Frontline sought to block the transaction and get its own offer back on the table.

Carsten Mortensen, chief executive of BW Group, told TradeWinds: "We prefer not to comment on ongoing litigation, but I can advise that yesterday the Supreme Court of the State of New York denied all Frontline's attempts to block the DHT/BW transaction.”
