Denmark’s Christiania Shipping expects to be able to wield greater influence in the chemical tanker market after its major fleet swoop on Monday.
The Eitzen family-controlled company acquired 13 stainless steel vessels from French group Sogestran’s Navquim Holding.
Chief executive Fridtjof Eitzen told TradeWinds he had been working on the deal since the spring.
