Ship Finance International’s latest VLCC sale has removed another veteran tanker from the spot market but the vessel is not thought to have gone for demolition.
New York-listed Ship Finance announced last night it had sold its oldest VLCC, the 300,000-dwt Front Ariake (built 2001).
It said the ship had gone to an unrelated third party for a net sales price of $20.7m.
