Zodiac Maritime is the latest shipping name to order suezmax tanker newbuildings in Japan.
The shipping giant has ordered two 159,000-dwt crude carrier newbuildings at Japan Marine United (JMU) to be delivered in 2025.
Shipbuilding sources following Zodiac’s newbuilding activities said the tanker deal was struck through Nihon Shipyard, a joint venture between Imabari Shipbuilding and JMU.
