Maersk Tankers has brought in the specialist knowledge of Maersk Line's former chief digital officer.
Ibrahim Gokcen left the containership giant in September to become chief technology officer at Schneider Electric in the US.
He will join the tanker owner's board next month.
Gokcen has more than 20 years of commercial and digital leadership experience.
