A trio of tankers operated by Elektrans Shipping is being sold for scrap or further trading as crews take to social media and pursue legal action to recoup unpaid wages.
The crew of the 95,000-dwt Distya Ameya (built 1995) have taken to Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites claiming they are stranded on the tanker without being paid during the six months it has been anchored in India’s Gulf of Khambhat.
