Increased use of electric vehicles worldwide will change the patterns of the tanker trade in around ten years and maybe even earlier, a bulk of the participants at the TradeWinds Shipowners Forum in Athens said.
A total 41% of respondents taking part in an instant electronic poll held during the forum expected the impact of electric vehicles on gasoline and crude demand to peak in the years between 2025 and 2030.
