Dr Peters of Germany appears set for a scrap sale of a VLCC for demolition in Pakistan.
The 298,000-dwt DS Tina (built 2000) was reportedly sold for some $19m "as is" in Khor Fakkan, UK demolition brokers say.
They add that it is “very likely” the tanker will be scrapped in Pakistan.
Dr Peters did not respond to requests for comment on the sale.
