VLCC rates took a dip on Wednesday, with Fearnleys blaming a single, troublesome cargo.
The broker said the market in the Middle East was “suffering under the paralysis of one particular China discharge cargo” as the Baltic Exchange’s VLCC time charter equivalent assessment dipped by $1,799 to just over $34,600 per day.
