Connecticut-based Diamond S Shipping has accelerated plans to move its 33 product tankers under in-house management by hiring new staff, and issuing withdrawal notices to two pools that currently employ the vessels.
The initiative, first reported to be on the cards by TradeWinds in June, comes as Diamond S hired Jakob Anthony, previously a clean product chartering man at the Navig8 Group, as chartering manager of its product units.
