Diamantis Diamantides-controlled Delta Tankers has sold its only VLCC for scrap, it is claimed.
The 300,000-dwt Delta Millennium (built 2000) has been sold for demolition with Bangladesh its likely destination unless the Pakistan market reopens soon.
Reports place a price of $426.50 per ldt on the vessel, which works out at $17.7m.
Delta has been contacted for comment on the matter.
