Trade group Danish Shipping is demanding a solution to the two-weeks-long migrant situation aboard a Maersk Tankers ship.
On 5 August, the 36,900-dwt Maersk Etienne (built 2014) rescued 27 people, including a child and a pregnant woman, from a small boat reportedly at the behest of Maltese authorities.
But since, the Mediterranean country has not allowed the migrants to disembark the tanker, leaving the crew to share dwindling supplies with no resolution in sight.
