Three Filipino crew members have been abducted by pirates from a Greek-managed tanker off Nigeria on Tuesday.
Armed pirates boarded the 40,300-dwt chemical carrier Dominia (built 2009) in a position off Lagos in an early-morning raid, a statement from its manager reads.
Having initially stormed the ship at 07:00 UTC, it appears that it took almost 12 hours for contact to be made with the Italian-owned ship’s master.
