Coral Shipping has acquired an aframax tanker from the fleet of Germany’s Hansa Treuhand.
Greek shipbrokers report that the low-profile Athens-based shipowner bought the 113,000-dwt HS Medea (built 2003) is acquired for $10.7m.
The Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries-built ship is due for special survey in June.
Coral Shipping declined to comment on the reports of the deal.
Not including the HS Medea, Coral was listed with a fleet of 17 tankers, mostly in the clean product sector.
