Bunker fuel contaminated with chlorinated hydrocarbons has been detected in Houston, following the distribution of tainted fuel in Singapore that has caused technical issues on around 80 vessels.
Protection and indemnity club Skuld told TradeWinds that it is aware that contaminated fuel has been delivered to vessels in Houston by the same supplier as in Singapore — which on Wednesday was confirmed as Glencore.
