Sweden’s Concordia Maritime has noted a fall-off in charter activity for MR tankers, but said the product tanker sector remains in strong shape for the winter.
Chief executive Erik Lewenhaupt said in a market update that September crude and product tanker rates were historically firm.
"The war in Ukraine and its effect on energy flows continues to influence markets," he added.
