Concordia Maritime has added two two medium-range tankers (MRs) through long-term charters, strengthening its position in the sector.

The tanker owner has signed a joint contract with Stena Weco for two IMO2/3 class tankers built in 2013.

Concordia’s share will be 50% and the contracts will last for one year each, starting in June and July.

Kim Ullman, chief executive of Concordia, said: “The arrangement is fully in line with our fleet and chartering strategy.
