State-backed China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) has revealed it is adding up to 10 more VLCCs to its orderbook.
The company told the Shanghai Stock Exchange that the board has agreed to contract the eco-ships at three domestic shipyards.
A further announcement will be made after contracts are signed, it added. The vessels could cost a total of $920m, based on prices previously reported this year.
