Iranian crude oil exports hit the highest monthly figure in December since the return of full sanctions imposed by the US under former President Donald Trump, according to Vortexa.
The shipping data analysis firm said exports of 1.4m barrels per day (bpd) in the final month of 2022 were driven by greater demand from independent refineries in China at the cost of Russia and an increase in tanker supply to carry the cargoes.
