A database of attacks on global shipping goes live on Wednesday, highlighting the growing role of states in deadly strikes and the disruption of maritime supply chains.
The Maritime Incident Tracker, compiled by US think-tank the American Enterprise Institute, details 73 cases where commercial ships have been “harassed, harmed and seized” since 2019 by states or their proxies.
