India’s Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals has clinched the sale of the first of five aframaxes it has up for sale.
In a stock exchange filing, the company said the 104,583-dwt Ratna Puja (built 2006) will go to the unrelated Sumire Navigation Co, registered in Liberia, for $22.5m.
The book value was INR 2.62bn ($39m) at year-end, it added.
The vessel is expected to be delivered in April.
