Capital Product Partners inked year-long charters for two chemical and products tankers.
The New York-listed tanker and containership owner said its sponsor, Capital Maritime, is paying $13,000 per day for the 36,800-dwt Atlantas II (built 2006).
The ship was previously on bareboat charter to BP Shipping for $7,250 per day.
"We are pleased to see the continued support from our sponsor in providing employment coverage at attractive rates at the time of a period market for product tankers remains relatively liquid," said Capital Product chief executive Jerry Kalogiratos during a conference call with analysts.
