Canada has ordered the seizure of an oil tanker carrying Kurdistan crude on request of the Iraq oil ministry as tensions between the two sides appear to spark again.
The federal court of Canada arrested the 105,411-dwt Neverland (built 2003), according to court documents seen by Reuters.
Iraq has also filed a claim against Vitol, its subsidiary and charterer of the vessel Mansel and Finaval, the owner of the vessel for $32.5m.
