Andreas Sohmen-Pao-controlled BW Group has reportedly completed its exit from the chemical tanker sector with a scrap deal.
The Singapore company has sold two elderly ships, the 19,500-dwt Bright World (built 1997) and Bold World (built 1998), for more than $800 per ldt or more than $5m each, scrap brokers said.
The price was due to a high stainless steel content.
