Singapore bunker logistics supplier Singfar has made a surprise move in the shipbuilding market by entering the MR product tanker segment.
The company has inked a newbuilding contract with China’s Chengxi Shipyard for four 50,000-dwt vessels that will be powered by conventional marine fuel.
An official at Chengxi confirmed the product tanker orders, adding that his company is scheduled to deliver the quartet in 2026.
