Evercore ISI analyst Jonathan Chappell termed it “an incredibly non-consensus call” as he essentially drew down the curtain on the recent bull run for tankers in a note released on Sunday.
Chappell was not kidding. He may not be alone in declaring the end to a historically strong market, but he is in a small group.
There are plenty of tanker bulls left among analysts, and others who seem suspended in the middle ground.
