Norwegian shipbroker Lorentzen & Co is upbeat on tanker prospects as demand spikes for crude and product carriers.
Suezmaxes and aframaxes are receiving a “renewed boost” from “huge crude inflows” to northern Europe, the Oslo shop said.
Average rates for the million-barrel suezmax tankers are soaring, with gains of $5,080 per day on Wednesday putting earnings at $18,536, it said.
