The rumour follows reports that the company shipped nearly 670,000 barrels of minimally processed super-light crude from Houston to Rotterdam earlier this month.
On the heels of an interview with ClipperData, a firm that tracks crude movements, Reuters printed an article in which it said the cargo left the Houston Ship Channel on 15 February.
Until recently oil companies had to seek permission from the US government when they wanted to ship condensates overseas, a policy that was relaxed last year.
