Two major Greek tanker players have sold two large, ageing vessels to the demolition market this week, adding to a spree of activity in the sector.
Market sources in Athens say Adam Polemis' New Shipping has shed its second tanker in just a few weeks, selling the 105,600-dwt New Horizon (built 1997) for scrap.
The vessel is understood to have been sold “as is” in Fujairah at $455 per ldt.
