Norway's Bergshav is poised to pocket a profit on the sale of a 13-year-old aframax tanker to an undisclosed buyer.
US shipbrokers said the Grimstad-based shipowner has sold the 105,000-dwt Bergina (built 20017) for $19m.
That is in line with an estimate by VesselsValue, a valuation platform, which says the tanker is worth $19.2m.
Since the Bergina has been in Bergshav's books since it was new, it has likely been written down several times.
