Greek shipowner Benetech found employment for a long-range-one (LR1) tanker it picked up last year.
Market sources say the 75,000-dwt tanker Georgia M (built 2007) will be under hire to Emirates National Oil Co for a year with an option for a second year.
The rate is said to be $13,000 per day, which is roughly in-line with one-year charters on panamax-sized tankers.
