Bahri Oil is understood to have agreed a major deal to use Shell-controlled VLCCs for its exports from the Arabian Gulf, scooping the business from other tonnage providers which were bidding.
Bahri, formally The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, will also market the Shell vessels and take on their commercial management for backhaul cargoes, mostly shale oil from the US Gulf to India and China.
