Despite facing challenges of high port costs and cabotage regulations, Bahri (National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia) is growing its presence in India's breakbulk trade.
The ongoing recovery in emerging economies and the growing global demand for various commodities are expected to keep up the momentum in the sector, Ahmed Al-Ghaith, president of Bahri Logistics, told TradeWinds.
"Breakbulk cargo trade has tremendous potential for growth in India as the country continues to experience strong economic growth and increased business activity in the domestic market," Al-Ghaith said.
