B Riley’s Liam Burke is forecasting strong fourth quarter earnings for tanker owners.
The analyst said despite recent dips in share prices, both the Baltic Dirty Tanker Index and Baltic Clean Tanker Index rallied in the last three months of 2022, setting up a positive earnings season for the sector with more to come.
“Tanker demand remained strong and rates remained high in 4Q22, despite sluggish crude demand from China, the world’s largest crude importer,” Burke said on Friday.
