Vardinoyiannis company Avin International is believed to be behind a deal for a coated aframax tanker sold by Greek peer Arcadia Shipmanagement.
Avin has picked up the 106,000-dwt Aegean Faith (built 2003) for a price in the mid-$12m range, London-based brokers report.
That is a little below the $13m price tag initially reported last week. However, the transaction has been concluded at a level elevated enough to deliver a robust pricing signal in the sector.
