The deal was announced as newly listed Ardmore reported red ink on the books in its first financial report since a $140m initial public offering on the New York exchange which closed earlier this month.
There was a net loss of $1.2m for both the second quarter and first half which amounts to $0.07 per share.
But Cork, Ireland, based Ardmore indicated it was planning to stick to a policy of paying a quarterly dividend of $0.10
