International Andromeda Shipping has struck a deal with Gunvor-controlled Clearlake Shipping to purchase a 50% stake in two LR2 tanker newbuildings.
The Monaco-based shipowner is buying into the tankers due for delivery in May and June 2020 from South Korea’s Daehan Shipbuilding, Clearlake head of shipping Jan Andersen confirmed.
Clearlake, the shipping unit of the commodities trader, will retain the other 50%.
