Greece’s Alafouzos family has paved the way to transfer two suezmax newbuildings it has ordered privately to public venture Okeanis Eco Tankers.
Kyklades Maritime, controlled by Ioannis Alafouzos, has booked two 158,000-dwt crude tankers at Hyundai Heavy Industries with options for two more, TradeWinds revealed this morning.
In a statement to investors, Okeanis explained it had been granted the option to acquire the newbuidings at cost.
