Is the tanker market turning upward?
Having spent much of the summer bottoming out after spring's rally, the Baltic Dirty Tanker Index picked up on Friday, rising from 444 to 459 over the week.
The jump appeared to be fuelled by VLCCs, which the Baltic said began the week at $3,159 per day and finished nearly five times higher at $15,056 per day.
