A five year charter on a modern aframax tanker that failed ten quality vettings was validly terminated.

The $27,000 a day charter on the 105,000-dwt Savina Caylyn (built 2008) was ended less than 18 months into the deal after the vessel was rejected by ChevTex, Total and ConocoPhillips with issues also raised by a Shell inspection.

The Savina Caylyn is owned by the Italian joint venture company Dolphin Tanker.
