With a two-tier aframax market forming, BRS Group believes some LR2s that have been moving crude could clean up in a return to oil product trades.

The French shipbroker said Russian-owned aframaxes and ships from the so-called “shadow fleet” are increasingly carrying the country’s crude oil, as many players begin pulling their ships out of the trade ahead of the European Union’s seaborne oil embargo set to come into effect in December.
