Singapore’s AET Tankers has locked a VLCC into a one-year time charter for less than half of what it has been earning for the past two years.
European brokers said India’s Reliance Industries has chartered the 299,300-dwt Bunga Kasturi Enam (built 2008) at $20,000 per day, which is in line with recently concluded 12-month deals. The tanker is coming off a two-year charter to Valero at $42,500 per day.
