Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (Adnoc) has unveiled plans to bring together three shipping and marine services companies into one operator of some 165 vessels.
The state-owned company said on Twitter that the move will combine shipowner Abu Dhabi National Tanker Co (Adnatco) with offshore vessel operator Petroleum Services Co (Esnaad) and Abu Dhabi Petroleum Ports Operating Co (Irshad).
Adnoc said the new shipping and marine services firm will "capture synergies, drive efficiencies and ensure value creation".
The company, which is led by United Arab Emirates Minister of State Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber (pictured), did not announce the name of the new entity.
