Greece’s Xclusiv Shipbrokers has charted a doubling of the tanker orderbook since May last year, amid strong interest from owners.
Its latest monthly report tallies 200 vessels contracted at shipyards so far this year.
This represents 25% of the total orderbook alone, and is up from 148 ships a month ago.
