Ireland’s Ardmore Shipping is not rushing its product tankers’ return to the Red Sea despite the Houthis halting their attacks on shipping.
The New York-listed owner’s bosses believe the alternative trade routes that have sprung up due to militant action in the region will have staying power.
Ardmore chief executive Gernot Ruppelt told TradeWinds that safety for seafarers remains paramount.
