Greenpeace has revealed what it calls a “historically large fine” imposed by a Danish court for four peaceful protests against tankers carrying Russian oil in the Baltic.
The penalty of DKK 360,000 ($53,000) relates to action taken by the environmental group in March 2022.
Greenpeace said the fine by the Svendborg court “largely followed the prosecution’s demands in the case”.
